Cotola
Leader of the band Agua Negra and hometown hero of Montreal’s music scene for more than 15 years as a producer for various projects and videographer. Cotola performed in South America, Mexico and across Canada, as well has been a guest on radio shows around the world. His music is heard in top Spotify and Apple playlists from international aswell as the french canadian hip-hop markets.
In 2018 he dropped the first volume of a instrumental project trilogy influenced by the sound of bolero and hip-hop: Narco Bolero. And in 2019 he produced a critically acclaimed album called Dust 2 Dust with M.A.V from Rochester, New York and the second LP of Agua Negra named Aguacero which both got played in some of the most prestigious radio shows of it’s genre like Soul Assassins Radio Show by Cypress Hill’s Dj Muggs on Shade 45 and East NY Radio by the legendary PF Cuttin. His work has been in various Top 10 releases of 2019 like Insomniac Magazine, Weakly Rap Gods and many more. At the end of 2022 he released a joint project with Chung's debut album and had great reviews from all over the world and named as top projects in 2021 and canadian artist to watch for by some of the biggest magazines and websites in the culture.
In 2022, Cotola successfully launched the sequals to his instrumental series Narco Bolero, with volumes 2 and 3. In 2023, he collaborated once more with Chung to release the highly anticipated sequel to the Chung Shui trilogy, which was met with critical acclaim from fans and connoisseurs around the world. Since then he relinked up with his longtime partner Obia Le Chef internationally recognized as a top-tier lyricist and recording artist from Montreal to release the anticipated joint project Nimrod featuring MTL heavheavyhitters like Rowjay, Fléau Dicaprio, Sabrina Sabotage and from France Bob Marlich.
